2 Years Down, 2 To Go...

Seeing as how it's been about another year since I've updated this blog...
it seems as though blogging might not be my forte
Seriously though, how do people keep up with this and get paid?
Money is a supreme incentive, I guess if you paid me I'd be far more motivated to blog.
And by blogging I mean to:
  • Find sufficient images (not blurred or boring)
  • Tame the constant stream of thoughts running through my mind
  • Eloquently present my life as interesting and cool
  • And lastly wrestle with the format of this blogging platform....

Instead I usually choose to take a bath, curl up in bed and watch a movie/online shop,
or obviously start a DIY project that I don't have the time to finish....
and always, always these activities have chocolate.

....now that everyone's aware what I do when I'm not blogging,
let's catch up on the past year, specifically the latest 6 months:

Picture the months of March, April, May, and June
blurring together like when you hit fast-forward on a DvD.
I finished an intense semester at FIT,
applied for study abroad in Australia
worked (too much) at Desigual,
and GRADUATED!

On a rather dreary day in May,
I received an Associates of Applied Science in Fashion Merchandising Management.

I had quite the solid crew that came to attend:
my sister Melia, my momma, my uncle Brian, Jaxon the puggle + Brian's roommate Bruce
took the time off to drive down to NYC and celebrate with me!

The speakers were great but....

We were definitely taking photos during some of the speeches.

I ran into one of my old roommates, Dashea!

Read through the entire program...

ANDDDDD last but not least: sent a SnapChat to everyone so
they could bask in my newly graduated glory...

I was super spoiled with the chance to go see The Lion King again with my lovely momma!

We were classy and took a selfie in the theater beforehand,
possibly the only selfie I have convinced my mother to participate in!

Then I had the chance to take my family around Times Square at night,
their excitement was unmatched. The highlights included:
The Disney Store, The M&M Store, and The Hard Rock Cafe for dinner!

I found my home in the Disney Princess section, xoxo.
Melia and I took over the Hard Rock Cafe, it's a miracle it's still standing ;)

Living on that NYC Time Table

The awkward moment when you realize you haven't written on your blog in practically a year. Well, with that said there's a lot that's changed in my life...

Some new facts:

-I work at Desigual on 5th Avenue (since the late spring).

Desigual is a clothing retailer from Barcelona, Spain started in 1984. The name Desigual means "not the same" in spanish. The stores clothing is covered in outbursts of color,
patterns upon patterns, and much patchwork.
More to come later.
This is my store above.

-I am finishing my last semester in my Fashion Merchandising Management Associates at The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC (FIT) and am going to continue my studies with FIT.
I will be starting my Bachelors program in the same field this Fall.
I am also minoring in economics and fashion studies.

(Ignore the random lady. Sorry hun, you're on candid camera!)

Even the view from Stats is worth it. City life.

-I cut my hair super short this year.

-I am blessed to have a lot of new people enter my life throughout this year,
and for people in my life already to become closer.
This has been a long time coming and
I finally have a foothold in NYC.

My roommate Rachel and my best friend Olivia
Downton Abbey tea parties with my roommates
Crumpets and Scones included.
Jeannie and Taco!
Summer graffiti chillin.
Work friends.
Some of the crew from Desigual.
Desigual Holiday Party.
Dagmara, Miranda, Dashea and I @
***MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS***
Miranda and I, concert mode.
Movie nights.
Spontaneous subway photo ops.
Christmas lights.
And always finals binges.

No matter where you are in the world, be it the GREATEST CITY IN THE WORLD... nothing is home until there's people you care about and friends to support you.

Back on the Bandwagon!

So I'm a major blog slacker, I've done so much this semester and only written twice....fail!
So I've decided this summer I'm going to be THE BLOG QUEEN!
I will definitely try and post every Tuesday, I think I'm going to call it Thoughts Tuesday
and it will just be anything on my mind that given week... if that's alright with everyone?
Actually, on second thought I'm not really sure you want to know everything on my mind, scary.

Oh and please notice the new blog format,
although void of color is something new for me I wanted a more flowing set up...

But as for second semester here's the synopsis through photos!
So get ready:
